October Specialty Classes!

As the weather begin to cool down, take time for yourself and join us at the studio! it will be nice and warm (hot) here :)

In addition to our classes on the regular schedule, we are offering specialty classes every Sunday in October! See below for description of each specialty class.

10/2: Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) with Stazia

-          Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program that has been designed to enhance students' technique by focusing on training the muscle memory required in all forms of dance, using the fundamentals of ballet.

-        PBT focuses on core strength, weight placement and alignment of the body with a gradual approach of carefully designed exercises and repetitions of these exercises that trigger their muscle memory. With the use of an exercise ball, the students gain a great sense of posture and weight-placement whilst feeling each correct muscle group working throughout each exercise.

-        Class will be split into 4 portions: core & posture, upper body, adage, and allegro. It is a beneficial class for all types of dancers, yogis, and anyone else looking for a challenging workout!! Students will be asked to bring a yoga mat and yoga/exercise ball.

10/9: Rest and Restore with Tasha

-          Join Tasha for a movement and sound healing experience. This class will offer a gentle, slow flow to invite you into rest and relaxation. Followed by guided yoga nidra and sound bowl meditation to help restore the mind and body.

10/16: Nude Yoga with Margot

-          This class offers students an opportunity to enjoy their yoga practice in the nude. Students will deepen bodily understanding through movement, dive into some vulnerability and learn ways to support themselves in tough moments. Being nude around others, especially in a movement-based environment, can be challenging which means it is important to maintain a respectful attitude and an open mind throughout class. Students are required to bring their own mats, blocks, props and towels.

10/23: Restorative Yin with Si

-          This class is entirely made up of poses done close to the ground with the support of various props to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and allow the body and mind to ground and relax. Poses are held between 4-8 minutes per side, with a guided meditation at the end to finish. Gentle and suitable for those new to yoga and for experienced practitioners.

10/30: Halloween with Courtney

-          Join Courtney for a 60 minute Halloween themed heated vinyasa class! Costumes encouraged, followed by treats…only minimal tricks
